The concert choir of Lincoln University of Pennsylvania is making High Street Baptist Church one of the stops on this year’s Recruiting Tour. The choir will appear there at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3.
Founded in 1854 Lincoln University is the nation’s first degree granting Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and is known for several notable graduates as first African American Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, famous American poet, Langston Hughes; stage and screen actor Roscoe Lee Brown and many others.
Lincoln University of PA enrolls a diverse student body of approximately 2000 students. The university combines the elements of liberal arts and science based undergraduate curriculum along with select graduate programs designed to meet the needs of those living in a highly technological and global society.
The touring concert choir’s performance is the second stop on their spring 2016 recruiting tour and includes. It also presents a great opportunity for Roanoke students to hear more about one of the four Lincoln Universities located in PA and for everyone to experience outstanding music.
