Gloria Penn, the wife of author John I. Penn, a native of Roanoke, has published her first book, Miracles Still Happen. The miracle accounts, in Miracles Still Happen, give exciting evidence of how God intervenes in the lives of ordinary people. This book is written to give hope, encouragement, and evidence to all who may read it that God does personally care for each of us in ways we never imagine.
Miracles Still Happen has been influenced by the life Penn has been blessed to live. Her life and spiritual journey has been rich and rewarding. It began with being raised in a Christian home and growing up in the church from a very young age. At the age of three, she was so impressed by the stories her mother read to her based on the Bible, that by the age of six, she began to read the Bible on her own. Also at the age of six, the Bible teachings she heard in Sunday school, inspired her to want to give her life to Christ. Her love for God and the Bible has been a strong spiritual foundation throughout her entire life. This love for God and the Bible has been passed on to her children and has also influenced her husband’s faith in God and his love for the Bible.
Penn believes that miracles still happen on a much greater scale than some Christians in our day believe.
