The Roanoke Chapter of NC A&T Alumni Association recently supported the Melrose Adventist Child Care Center by presenting it with (2) 50’ inch flat screen plasma televisions for the children. When Chapter President Dr. Alan Bagby arrived with the televisions, the centers Executive Director Angela Williams burst into tears and shouted right on the spot for several moments while stating “We have been praying for some televisions because tomorrow we have planned “television day” for the kids and we actually did not know how we were going to do it. We had been praying for help and it truly arrived today and GOD IS GOOD!”
The children were equally excited to see the new televisions for their classrooms. The chapter considered it an honor to have been able to assist the center and strongly encourages other organizations, businesses and individuals to join them in supporting the new child care center.
