The Roanoke Chapter of Omnia Bona Club, Inc. presented two Jean Nicholas Scholarship Awards to two very deserving young ladies, Alexis D. Toliver and Lena C. Johnson.
Alexis D. Toliver graduated from James River High School where she was a competitive cheerleader for 4 years. She was the President of Interact Club, a member of Future Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, the Key Club and Foreign Language Club. Alexis is also an active member of Lapsleys Run Baptist Church. She attends Ferrum College where she is a cheerleader and her future dream is to become a Psychologist. She is the daughter of George and Sabrina Toliver.
Lena C. Johnson graduated from Patrick Henry High School where she played junior varsity and varsity volleyball and basketball. She earned the All Academic Team Award and in her senior year, received the Coaches Award. Lena was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, volunteered to clean up around the school and with the March of Dimes. She is also an active member of First Baptist Church, Gainsboro. Lena attends Virginia Western Community College under the Community College Access Program for Roanoke City. She is an aspiring author. Lena is the daughter of Rodney and Cheryl Johnson.
These ladies are congratulated by the Roanoke Chapter Omnia Bona on their accomplishments and much success is wished them in their future endeavors.
