In partnership with Hoop Love Academy and BoxFit, PLAY Roanoke is excited to offer multiple fitness-based camps for middle school-aged youth this summer. These programs are being offered free of charge and will be held at Lucy Addison Middle School.
Hoop Love Academy’s mission is to assist youth and young adults to develop comprehensive skills, maximize their individual potential, and elevate their game both on and off the court. All of their programs come with the same objective of advancement, quality, and dedication. They work with each individual to provide the best knowledge, challenge, and support to help them improve step-by-step throughout both their basketball and life journey.
Hoop Love Camps will be offered June 26-29 and July 17-20, held Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Lucy Addison Middle School. Participants in grades 6-8 are invited to sign up at playroanoke.com/summer-camps. Space is limited.
BoxFit is a boxing fitness program that offers programming for youth ages 7 and up. BoxFit provides youth with outreach programs that help build confidence, instill healthy lifestyle choices, mentorship, and provide them with a “Fun, Fast, Fitness Experience.” BoxFit is committed to finding a new way to channel youth’s emotions and energy toward something constructive.
BoxFit Camps will be offered July 10-13 and July 24-27, held Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Lucy Addison Middle School. Participants in grades 6-8 are invited to sign up at playroanoke.com/summer-camps. Space is limited.
