The Roanoke Chapter of Chums, Inc. is honored to partner with Gainsboro and Melrose Libraries in their “Read and Feed” program. The Covid virus has restricted in person contact with the children, nonetheless, the Chums have been able to safely support from a distance.
In the “ Spirit of Christmas,” the chapter purchased STEM games for both libraries and provided gift bags for each child filled with educational items, candy, and fresh fruit. Antinette Beane and Megan Mizak were thrilled to have new resources for their respective children’s centers. The Chums are very much looking forward to a continued relationship with the libraries in the future.
