“Putting Roanoke Back to Work” is the theme of a street rally set for Friday, July 24, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. at 11th Street and Melrose Ave. in NW Roanoke. The event, sponsored by Community Cultivators Inc., will address the issues that continue to plague our communities to the detriment of far too many. It’s time that we come together as a community and make it a safe, revitalized and economically sound place to live in.
Please come join in helping to *Connect those who want to obtain a job whether or not they have a criminal background; *Revitalize urban communities by restoring abandoned buildings, promoting business growth and having available resources within neighborhoods; *Address prevalent rising crime issues; and *Ensure that every eligible returned citizen (ex-offender) applies to have their rights restored!
In addition there will be Employer booths, Job Fairs, entertainment, various speakers, food vendors and Fun for KIDS!
The public is invited to come join in support of this grand effort!
