Terry Reynolds, Division Training and Recruiting Manager for Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic Division, has been recognized as one of 2019’s “Top Women in Grocery” by Progressive Grocer magazine.
Based in Roanoke, Reynolds is responsible for recruiting and developing talent across Kroger stores in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio, working to ensure a diverse and highly-qualified workforce. She oversees the division’s multi-million-dollar training program for new hires, department leaders and management. Her leadership has resulted in increased retention rates and improved store operations.
In her free time, Reynolds supports Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society as a financial supporter and through fundraising efforts. In addition to volunteer roles with Feed More and the Hilliard House Shelter, Reynolds works with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond through back-to-school drives.
Of the 393 women recognized across America, 44 Kroger Co. associates, including Reynolds, are being highlighted as distinguished talent in the field.
The Progressive Grocer “Top Women in Grocery” awards are presented to extraordinary women in the grocery business who display exceptional achievements both in and out of the office. The award is devoted to showcasing the overall excellence and continued achievement among female movers and shakers in the North American retail food industry.
The three nomination categories were senior-level executive, rising star and store manager. Of the 44 company honorees, 27 associates were recognized as rising stars 15 associates were recognized for their success as store managers and two associates were recognized for their work as senior-level executives.
This year’s recipients will be honored at a Progressive Grocer awards gala scheduled for November in Orlando, FL.
