The Roanoke Chapter of The Moles entertained and presented beautifully framed resolutions to two community leaders on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Holiday Inn, Ordway Dr. The honorees pleasantly enjoyed the entire evening.
Although The Moles is a national social organization, several community service projects are completed yearly. Along with scholarships and supporting a charitable organization at the Conclave, chapters are encouraged to identify two individuals within their community to be recognized for outstanding leadership and service yearly.
The local chairperson writes the biographical resolutions and submits them to the National Resolutions Committee chairperson who frames them. All resolutions are presented to the submitting chapters at the Annual National Conclave. The Roanoke community has so many deserving citizens and the resolutions have been a highlight for The Moles.
Following the monthly February chapter meeting, honorees with a family member dined and were presented with the resolutions from the 2018 National Conclave in Baltimore, MD.
The 2018 resolutions were presented to: Rev. Ulas N. and Delois Broady, by Mole Gloria Randolph-King (recommended by Mole Sandra Barlow): and Peter and Carla Lewis, presented by Mole Saundra Butcher. Local Resolutions Chair, Marzetta Sinkler, welcomed and acknowledged the 2018 recipients.
Hostesses for the meeting were Moles Francine McLaughlin and Gaynelle Pearson who provided a beautiful setting for the occasion and gave the wives a small gift.
Mole Gloria Randolph-King is the chapter president.
