The Roanoke City Retired Educators Association (RCREA) held its spring meeting and awards reception on Thursday, May 14, at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. This year, the association was extremely proud to present two William Fleming High School graduates with the $1,000.00 Scholarships.
The recipients are Erin B. Hilton, daughter of Clarence and Benecia Hale-Hilton and Jessica C. Mundy, daughter of Jason and Kelli Mundy. Both honor graduates were enrolled in the Virginia Teachers of Tomorrow Program and plan to become English teachers.
Erin has decided to attend Radford University this fall and Jessica is still undecided but plans to select an in-state university.
The organization wished both young ladies the very best in their future endeavors. Bonnie Mann is RCREA president and Donna W. Lee is scholarship chairperson.
