Congratulations to graduates Angelica Hubbard Burnette and Birdie Michelle Trotter. Birdie M. Trotter graduated from Hollins University, magna cum laude with a BA in Music and Math minor. Birdie was inducted into one of the oldest and most prestigious honor societies, Phi Beta Kappa and also into Omicron Delta Kappa. Her senior project was experimenting with the Chaos Game as a compositional technique to create musical fractals.
Two weeks prior her sister Angelica graduated from Virginia Western Community College with an AAS degree in Culinary Arts. She was recipient of Al Pollard Memorial Scholarships for the Culinary Arts and was on the President’s honor roll every semester. Angelica presently employed as chef for Commonwealth Dining facility in Christiansburg.
Both Birdie and Angelica are the daughters of Birdie H. Edwards of Roanoke, and the granddaughters of Vesper H. Edwards of Rocky Mt.
