Halesford United Methodist Church (UMC) invites you to be a part of the exciting concert “String Beans, Corn, and Peas.” to take place 4-6pm, Saturday, Sept. 22, at the church, 1601 Lakewood Forest Road, Moneta, VA. It will be a time to enjoy wonderful music with a purpose: to help those in need. The goal is to collect 700 cases of canned vegetables to donate to local food pantries, including Lake Christian Ministries, Mt. Zion A.M.E., Parrish Chapel UMC, and others in the area.
The Moyer Brothers, Brooke McGrady, and the Early Family will also be presented in concert! Elder John Word will be the Master of Ceremonies.
The Moyer Brothers have been actively working and singing for the Lord for twenty years with gospel’s greatest singers. Their latest CD recording is “My Soul is a Witness. Brooke McGrady for Wirtz, VA, a singer-songwriter, producer, Nashville recording artist, and founder of GenRev Music, is completing her second album: Band of Renegades, Volume 2.
The Early Family is truly a family act. Dianna and her mother Linda have been singing gospel music together for 35+ years. Dianna’s son, Matthew Reynolds, together with friends Jim McDaniel and Joe Bernie have been singing with the Early Family for the past 5 years. Dianna’s father Robert is a loyal follower and supporter of the group.
The concert is free for all. Attendees are simply asked to bring a case of 6, 8, or 12 canned string, beans, corn, or peas. Light refreshments and fellowship will be shared after the concert. Hope to see you there!
