The Harrison Museum of African American Culture is proud to announce the winners of the Dessert Contest held at the Henry Street Festival on Saturday, Sept. 14 in Elmwood Park.
This year’s winners baked a variety of goodies sampled by attendees to the festival. The guest Chef was Denise Bibby, a graduate of the Al Pollard Culinary Arts Program.
The Chef’s Choice Award went to Lakesha Smith for her Brown Sugar Cake with The people attending the Festival also having an opportunity to vote.
“First-Place People’s Choice Award” went also to Denise Bibby; with Second Place award to Lorena Wilson and the third place went to Lakesha Smith.
