‘The human body serves a temporary purpose in the development of the soul and when that purpose has been served, is laid aside just as the eggshell serves a temporary purpose in the development of the chick. And, when that purpose has been served, is broken and discarded.
We also read “The fundamental purpose animating the Faith of God and His religion is to safeguard the interests and promote the unity of the human race-(a goal scientifically and technologically impossible through ever increasing multi-religious dispensation)
Unique to these times is the unbridled wealth of the few who control the administrative orders that hold the fate of the masses in their grasp within this and other nations while using unimaginable tactics to protect their “status quo.”
“We currently live in a world in which from time immemorial obedience to the commands of the Prophets has been the exception rather than the rule;” where love of self has been a more prevalent motive than love of God; where limited and party interests have taken precedence over interest in humanity as a whole, and where material possessions and sensual pleasures have been preferred to the social and spiritual welfare of mankind. Hence have arisen fierce competition and conflict, oppression and tyranny, extremes of wealth and poverty-all conditions which breed mental and physical disease. When the tree of humanity is sick, every leaf on the tree is affected by the general symptoms.
A common observance shared by foreigners who come to this country is that Americans in general have more, and appreciate it less than people of any other nation on earth. We habitually compare ourselves with those who have more and in so doing are always dissatisfied. We likewise tend to dwell on our weaknesses and shortcomings-and especially on those of others- all of which stunts our spiritual and socio-economic growth. We are particularly guilty of ignoring the many things we have in common that would unite us while over-emphasizing the much fewer differences that divide and so easily pit us against one another. While fully aware of the strength in unity and the perpetual weakness in division, we nonetheless allow our foolish pride, wounded egos, jealousy and envy to rob us of so much that life in this “land of plenty” has to offer us all (when properly earned and distributed).
In the aggregate it becomes uncommonly clear that the modern world of humanity is sick. Not so apparent is the fact that God (however we perceive Him) sends a skilled Physician for every stage of mankind’s maturity with divine teachings, exhortations and commandments befitting the exigencies of the time! “The prescription of the proficient Physicians of the past and the future will not be the same; nay, rather they will be in accord with the “ailment of the patient.”
Today, in mankind’s new stage of maturity, we are apprised in this new Dispensation: “If health and wellbeing be expected in the path of the Kingdom, this is very acceptable and praiseworthy…But if the health and welfare of man be spent in sensual desires in a life on the animal plane and in worldly pursuits, then disease would be better than such health; nay, death itself would be preferable to such a life…”
When the material world and the divine world are well co-related, when hearts become heavenly and aspirations grow pure and divine; physical and spiritual disease will then receive absolute healing!”
