There were a lot of emotions shared on Saturday, Sept. 24, as Dr. Frank H. English(c) and First Lady Kathy English celebrated the Grand Opening service for their new church home, New Life Christian Fellowship.
NLCF began as a ministry in 2006, under the leadership of Dr. English holding worship services at the Wyndham Hotel. In 2007, the church moved to a temporary location on Brandon Ave. where it resided for 9 years. Over the course of the years, while looking for a more permanent place to worship, in the Spring of 2016, they found it. The new location is 402 S. Colorado Street Salem VA.
Among those participating in the service on Saturday was Minister Charnika Elliott, founder of Noah-Christian Academy, a private school that offers tuition assistance to qualifying families. Both organizations have worked diligently the last four months on an intense, renovation project. With great joy, New Life and Noah-Christian participated in the ribbon cutting of the new location.
Others participating included Apostle Samuel R. English of Positive Impact Ministries, and Salem City Council woman, Jane Johnson. Rev. Adrian Dowell of Shiloh Baptist Church was the guest speaker with Apostle Samuel R. English closing out the Dedication Service on Sunday, Sept. 25.
These organizations are excited and eager to grow their Ministries and serve the surrounding communities.
