The family of Corine Johnson has awarded the Mildred Ann Rose Johnson Scholarship to a Roanoke City Student for the 4th consecutive year to Savion Trigg.
The Mildred Ann Rose Johnson Scholarship Fund is a 501 (c)(3) organization here in the Roanoke Valley that provides scholarships to students who attend Roanoke City Schools and are first time college students. Established in September 2014 the scholarship became a 501 (c)(3) organization in January 2015.
Savion Trigg, a 2018 graduate of William Fleming High School will be attending Radford University majoring in Marketing.
The event was hosted at Outback Steakhouse on Franklin Road in Roanoke and the Roanoke community is highly commended for its support and donations throughout the year.
