On June 20, members of the Beta Chi Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., visited the Veterans Care Center to sing for the patients. The activity was part of the Alzheimer Association’s “Longest Day” observance. AKA chapters across the country participated in a variety of events to mark the occasion.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority was proud to join forces with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease risk factors, diagnosis, care and advocacy, among the African-American community. Cleopatra Kitt serves as Beta Chi Omega’s Health Promotions chairman.
