On Saturday, April 1, Brighter Image Day Spa, Owner Margaret Bright sponsored Menopause & Other Women’s issues, along with a silent action to raise money for a worthy cause. Shanna Flowers hosted this event.
Speakers were Dr. Donna Musgrave, gynecologist; Debbie Conway, administrator for Richfield retirement; Catherine Hagan, Breast Cancer nurse specialist; and Rev. Sylvia Ball, pastor of Sweet Union Baptist Church.
This very educational and elegant event raised $2,325.00 for HelpHopeLive in honor of Eloise Keatts who is in need of a lung transplant to live. Eloise is under doctors care at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Duke University Medical Center. She has an out-of-pocket expense of $20,000. Eloise had no idea this event was in her honor. She thought she was only participating in the workshop. The surprise came at the very end of the program. Her expression was priceless.
Margaret is most appreciative of all donations from businesses, special clients, and churches throughout the valley, and all who contributed in any way to the success of this event.
