Parents considering private school for their children are invited to attend a Preschool and Kindergarten Information Session at Community School, 7815 Williamson Road, at 6:30 p.m. March 3. Attendees will visit individual classrooms and talk with the teachers. Free childcare is available during the session. For more information and to reserve a space at the session, please call 540-563-5036.

The teachers will explain how Community School’s developmentally-appropriate curriculum addresses the whole child, including social, physical, emotional and academic growth. They will also discuss the school’s integrated curriculum and the importance of play in the learning process of young children.

The sessions will also highlight features that distinguish Community School’s program from other options in the valley: experiential learning, arts integration, Spanish studies outdoor learning, student responsibility and goal setting, off-campus and service learning, multi-age groupings and mentoring.

Community School is now accepting applications for fall enrollment for students ages three through middle school.
