Renovation Alliance, formerly Rebuilding Together Roanoke, in partnership with The Home Depot Foundation, will honor veterans and surviving spouses Saturday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m. at 601 Arbutus Ave. SE., home of Army veteran Buster Mullins. Mayor David Bowers will participate in commemorating the day.
More than 400 volunteers will repair and renovate 16 homes across the Roanoke Valley. Helping veterans and their families can restore lives as many veterans of past and present wars face hardships and struggle to make critical home repairs.
