Virginia Western Community College (VWCC) will host a special workshop for the public, the Great FAFSA Fill Out, to assist students applying for financial aid. Individuals seeking funding for postsecondary education will receive free, professional, one-on-one assistance in completing the federal financial aid form, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the form used by colleges, universities, and career-technical schools across the country to determine eligibility for student federal and state financial aid.

The Great FAFSA Fill Out, workshop will be held 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, in Webber Hall, W311-312, at Virginia Western Community College and is Free and open to anyone regardless of college choice.

Computers will be available for students and parents to apply for federal aid electronically, along with Virginia Western financial aid representatives available to assist. This event is open to all individuals who plan to attend college or a university in the upcoming year.

Once the student leaves the event, he or she will have initiated the financial aid process for any college they are interested in attending. Virginia Western staff will help students navigate the financial aid application process.
