Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church proudly acknowledges Miss Ayeshia Watson as the recipient of the Geraldine Davis Scholarship and the Inez Hanley Scholarship and has received substantial financial support from Hollins University.
Ayeshia has been an active member of Greater Mount Zion since her early childhood and has maintained a 4.0 GPA during all four years of her high school career. She took AP Classes, was a member of the FBLA Club, DECA, Gospel Chorus, Y-Street, and ran track and field.
She plans to pursue a major in Public Health and continue running Track and Field on a collegiate level.
Ayeshia attributes her success to God for his many blessings along with her mother who is her greatest supporter, her pastor Rev. Dr. Cedric Malone, and her entire church family.
