The Roanoke Branch NAACP invites the Community to hear the Roanoke City Council Candidates and for the office of Mayor!  The local Branch Radio Show, “Our Voices” is broadcasted every Saturday 9-10 a.m. over WTOY 1480 AM.

The list of candidates airing each Saturday morning in April is as follows: April 9, Freeda Cathcart (D); April 16,  9-9:30 a.m. Duane Howard (I); and 9:30-10 a.m., John Garland (I); April 23, at 9-9:30 a.m., Trish White Boyd (D) and 9:30-10 a.m., Michelle Dystra (I); April 30, at 9-9:30 a.m., Anita James Price (D) and 9:30-10 a.m., Mayoral Candidate Sherman Lea, Sr. (D).

All registered voters are encouraged to participate on Tuesday, May 3, by casting your Ballot for 3 City Council seats and one for the Office of Mayor!

Candidates Forum

Individuals and organization(s) are invited to attend the Mayoral and City Council Candidate Forum at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at South Roanoke United Methodist Church.

Neighbors in South Roanoke (NSR), the neighborhood organization for residents of South Roanoke, are hosting a Roanoke City Mayoral and city council candidate forum on Tuesday, April 19. All Roanoke Valley residents are encouraged to attend the regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m. neighborhood meeting at South Roanoke United Methodist Church at 24th and Jefferson.

Candidates will provide opening and closing statements and answer specific questions from attendees.  For more information contact Barbara Duerk, NSR president at info@ soroneighbors.com.
