The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. met on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Roanoke Higher Education Building with the out-going president, Diane Jones, presiding. The meeting was held, expeditiously, because of the installation and transition of new officers for 2016-2018.
Soror Saron McEnheimer, installed the following officers: President, Monica Callaway, First Vice-President, Tanisha Nash, 2nd Vice-President, Dr. Deneen Evans; Recording Secretary, Ora Dickerson; Corresponding Secretary, Gloria Randolph-King, Treasurer, Siclinda Canty-Elliott, Assistant-Treasurer, Dawn Crutchfield-Board, Financial Secretary, Danielle Burks and Assistant-Financial Secretary, Chasity Charles.
Plaques and Certificates of Appreciation were presented to all out-going officers and committee chairs. Out-going President, Diane Jones, received a lovely plaque for her two terms as local chapter president along with a basket of her favorite goodies.
After the installation and presentations, new chapter president, Monica Callaway, addressed the sorority and closed the meeting. A brief transition meeting was held for the officers and all in attendance enjoyed a delicious brunch, prepared by La Cove Restaurant.
