In partnership with Saval Foodservice and Riptide Restaurant, the KC Foundation will be giving away 400 grocery boxes to the community on Monday, Dec. 21, from 12 noon-2pm. In addition to 400 essential grocery boxes, there will also be free lunch bags available, courtesy of Saval Foodservice.

The boxes will be distributed from Riptide Restaurant in Fells Point located at 1718 Thames Street Baltimore, MD.

Katlyn and Chris Knudsen of the KC Foundation are humbled to support the community during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic in memory of their late father, Chris Knudsen Jr. The KC Foundation recognizes that the service and hospitality industries have been hit especially hard by this, given that many in this field live paycheck to paycheck and often times don’t have health benefits or emergency savings at their disposal.

Although this event is aimed towards assisting those in the service and hospitality industry, anyone in need of groceries and a free bag lunch is encouraged to stop by.

“To kick off our first event we are proud to announce that we will be donating 400 grocery boxes within our community to help as many people in our community as possible, no explanation, no questions asked, just help whoever needs it. We are hoping for a great turnout and are looking forward to seeing everyone on the 21st!

The KC Foundation was created in 2020 in memory of Chris Knudsen, Jr., to continue his legacy of generosity and passion for life by his daughter Katlyn Knudsen. Our mission is to help provide for families in need unconditionally throughout our community.
