Congratulations to 8-year-old Tyrique Bowles, who made his feature film acting debut in God’s Compass. The movie was shown on the TVOne network Saturday night March 26, and again on Sunday evening. Tyrique portrayed young David Waters, in flash back scenes. His parents, Dustin and Kiesha Bowles also had roles in the film as a young Isaac and Suzanne Waters. God’s Compass was produced by Liberty University Cinematic Arts and was filmed in Virginia Beach, Rustburg and surrounding areas.
Tyrique has also had a role in The Ugly Duckling at Mill Mountain Theater, and was the main character in Vinnie’s Plane, a short film shot at Liberty University. He will be featured next along with his mother, in another Liberty film, entitled The Invocation that does not yet have a release date.
In addition to his parents, his proud grandparents are Connie Bowles, Michael, Sr. and Cheryl Preston of Roanoke.
