Would you like to be “Miss Jabberwock 2016?”  The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is now accepting applications for Miss Jabberwork 2016.  This is an opportunity for young ladies in grades 9 to 12 to participate in an exciting production and showcase their individual talents while competing for the crown.   Yes, YOU can be “Miss Jabberwock 2016.”

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority conceived the Jabberwork in 1925 as a musical variety show. Through the years, it has continued to be an evening of elegance and entertainment that showcases the gifts and talents of the contestants and their escorts and is held yearly by Delta chapters throughout the country.

Under the creative direction of Greg Addison, the production and the young ladies always shine and bedazzle the audience.  The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter has a long history of outstanding Jabberwock productions.  Jabberwork 2016, to be held on Friday, May 14, 2016 in the Shaftman Performance Hall at the Jefferson Center, will be no exception.

For years, the Roanoke Alumnae chapter has been able to give over $10,000 annually in scholarships with the proceeds from the Jabberwork productions.

If interested in being a Jabberwock contestant, please see your high school guidance counselor for an application.

All completed applications should be mailed to:  The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Miss Jabberwork 2016, P. O. Box 6658, Roanoke, VA 24017 and must be received by December 30, 2015.   All interested participants will be notified by January 4, 2016.
