The Roanoke NAACP Youth Council will be having a car wash on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Advance Auto Parts at 5329 Williamson Road (shopping center near Happy’s) from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Hot dogs, chips, baked goods and drinks will also be available for sale.
Donations will be accepted for the car wash. The youth are trying to raise money to attend the Virginia State Conference NAACP Convention to be held from October 30-November 1, 2015 in Richmond, VA.
The community’s support is encouraged to increase the youth’s opportunities to learn and return to this community as leaders in the fight for freedom and against injustices.
