
On Sunday, July 27, the Roanoke NAACP Youth Council marked a new chapter as their newly elected board was officially sworn in. Roanoke Branch NAACP President Dr. Brenda L. Hale led the ceremony and administered the oath to the incoming officers.
Christian Burnett was sworn in as President, with Paris Scott as 1st Vice President, Nazier Jackson as 2nd Vice President, Simone Bryant as Treasurer, and Chloe Scott as Secretary. Ashley Lawrence will serve as Co-Advisor, and Lorena Taylor-Rollins Wilson as Advisor.
The Roanoke NAACP Youth Council continues to stand as a powerful platform for youth leadership, civic engagement, and social justice. Congratulations to the entire team on this exciting new beginning!
