Trump’s attacks on the White House and its grounds are physical, metaphysical, and cultural, which apparently are acceptable to Trump’s DC minions. The attacks call to my mind the War of 1812 and the Civil War.
The primary goals of a nation’s culture are to ensure that the people survive, thrive, achieve freedom, and pass freedom on to future generations. If Great Britain or the Confederate Nation had defeated America, what would those rulers have done to the nation’s culture and our most treasured historical artifacts? Obviously, today’s rulers are hell- bent on achieving the objectives our Foreign Enemies were not able to achieve by war.

Individuals become Americans when they reject the primacy of all other allegiances and adopt the Culture, Mores and Creed of this nation as delineated by The Virginia Declaration of Rights; The Declaration of Independence; and The United States Constitution.
Precepts of various American Peoples’ subcultural history that are included within the left side of the hyphen, i.e., —— American, ought to be retained and celebrated because they make the predominant American culture valid for individuals’ spiritual dimension — pride of ancestry is an empowering emotion for personal development. Nevertheless, as important as subcultural tenets may be, they must never take precedence over loyalty to America.
The most effective way to destroy a people is to deny and obliterate their understanding of their cultural history. Destroy or falsify every record; destroy or rewrite every book; repaint every picture; rename every statue and street building; alter every date and continue the process day by day and minute by minute. During the War of 1812, British troops burned the White House. The act was surely designed to demoralize the American people. President James Madison’s family managed to save important cultural artifacts, including a portrait of George Washington.
Alexander Stephens, vice president of the Confederate Nation, dispensed with any pretense about the dominant philosophy of the Confederacy. He explicitly rejected the claim in the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal. He said:
“Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner-stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and normal condition. Our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral (Religious) truth.”
It is not a major leap to include with America’s slave class the other subordinated groupings — the Indigenous people, women, and the Poor. All of these have been defined and oppressed by White Male Supremacy and distorted religious and political tenets, important features of Fascism.
Internal contention and disaffection were present during both the 1812 and 1861 wars. The key to America’s victories was the leadership that galvanized the American people’s patriotism. That same patriotic leadership inspired Americans to pursue national goals after the wars ended.
Arguments abound as to which nation won the war; but the fact that none of America’s territory was conquered, that America solidified its independence from the British, and that the nation soon after became a world power far surpassing Great Britain lead me to conclude that America was victorious.
President Abraham Lincoln led the country through the Civil War and abolished slavery.
Calling-out leaders is an appeal to their better natures, patriotism, and loyalty to America; but, calling-out Trumpists, as we have seen, has not thwarted the Trumpists’ efforts to transform America into a Trump monarchy. We won’t change the hearts and minds of out current rulers, so we have to change their primary support base in Washington.
As James Carville stated, “Democrats must select a presidential “nominee;” and advocates of democracy must vividly support that individual as the Leader of the Democratic party, certainly, but more so as the intrepid drum major for true Americans irrespective of party affiliation. Then we would be empowered to effectively marshal the 190 million Americans who did not support Trump in 2024; as well as the members of the 77 million Americans who voted for him but who now are incensed at his traitorous, duplicitous, and morally psychotic antics, and want to save America again as Americans did in 1812 and 1861. Instead of armaments this time, the most powerful weapon we have is the vote and the engagement date is November 3, 2026, the Midterm Elections.
