The Loudon /Melrose Neighborhood Organization, Inc., awarded a $750.00 Scholarship to A´aveion Sa´nae Walker a 2015 honor graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
Walker is currently enrolled in the summer program at Norfolk State University, in Norfolk, VA where she will be attending this fall.
A’aveion is the daughter of Tamara N. Walker and Clarence D. Phanelson; granddaughter of Diana M. Walker and great grand-daughter of Clarice Walker. She is an active member of Williams Memorial Baptist Church.
Members of the scholarship committee, C. Alwyn Harper, a branch manager at Home Town Bank; Odessa Powell and JoAnn Simmons were quite impressed with the presentation of her scholarship application.
Norma B. Wade, president of the organization joins in congratulating A’aveion and offering her best wishes for her continued success as she furthers her education.
