Omega’s Annual “Memorial” Golf Tournament

The Gamma Alpha Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.’s 2016 Annual “Memorial” Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, July 16th at Hanging Rock Golf Course in Salem, VA. More than 100 golfers and supporters from the area and as far away as Charlotte, NC, Northern VA, Virginia Beach, Martinsville, and Lynchburg came out to enjoy a Captain’s Choice format round-of-golf and fellowship. The winning team, pictured above, with a score of 61, were Ellis Henderson, Lan Preston, Posey Young, Rayford Harris, Jr. from Richmond, VA. Second Place Winners, with a score of 62, were Will Claytor, Jr., Tre Claytor, Phil Claytor, and Ian Campbell from Roanoke, VA.

Corporate sponsors were New Hope Support Services, George “Killer” Miller, Colors VA Magazine, and Bob Davis. Many local and regional companies and individuals supported the event as “Hole and Door Prizes’ Sponsors.”  The 2016 Golf Committee included Tony Kolb, Darnell Glover, Sr., Reginald Ducket, Robert Jeffrey, Sherman Lea, Jr., George “Killer” Miller, CJ “Sport” Page, Roderick Tasco, Maceo Toney, Ron Williams, and Bob Davis, chairman. Proceeds from this event will help to support Gamma Alpha Chapter’s youth and community programs through-out the Roanoke Valley.
