Pine Valley Golf Association Awards Banquet

On November 14, Pine Golf Association held its Annual Banquet and presented awards to the top golfers for 2015 in the PVGA League.

Three $1,200.00 Scholarships were presented to three young high school graduates and have been accepted to college.  Myles Gunter, Lord Botetourt High School, accepted to Radford University, son of Mr.& Mrs. Marlon Gunter; Dereck Johnson, Patrick Henry High School accepted to Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte N. C., son of Mr. & Mrs. Freddie Johnson and Malik Patrick, William Fleming High School, accepted to Hampton University, son of Mr. & Mrs. Chuck Patrick.

The PVGA also donates annually to Apple Ridge Farms, which is an outdoor camp that serves “At Risk” youths, Relay For Life (American Cancer Society) and other Charity events.

The top players in the 2015 Pine Valley Golf Association League are:

Tuesdays 1st place Team: E.A. Bishop and Mike Scott, 2nd Place Chuck Patrick and Nickey Wright.
Thursdays 1st Place Marlon Gunter and Gary Lewis 2nd Place Bob Davis and Rev. Delmar Jackson.

Pine Valley League Championship winner 1st place Marlon Gunter and Gary Lewis, 2nd place Mark Cooke and Waymon Clark, 3rd place Maurice Coffey and Grace Coffey.

The Association President is E.A. Bishop; V-P. Freddie Delbridge; Secretary Gary Lewis; Treasurer J.C. Taylor; Tournament Chairman Nate Tuning; and League Chairperson Nickey Wright.
