The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce the First Senior Citizen Prom, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. This special event, themed “Once Upon a Time: Hollywood Glam,” promises to be a memorable evening, offering our senior community a chance to relive the glitz and glamour of classic Hollywood.
TRIAD, a community initiative dedicated to promoting senior safety and enhancing the quality of life for older adults, proudly presents the Senior Citizen Prom. The event will take place at The Bella Vista Room at Berglund Center where attendees will be treated to an evening of music, dancing, and entertainment, all within an atmosphere that celebrates the elegance and charm of Hollywood’s golden era.
Sheriff Antonio D. Hash wants the senior community to understand the significance of this event, as it is more than just a night out; “it’s an opportunity to show our appreciation and ensure that they continue to feel valued and connected within our community.”
The importance of initiatives like this cannot be overstated. As our senior population continues to grow, it is crucial to provide activities that promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and a sense of belonging!
Events like the Senior Citizen Prom not only offer a joyful experience but also contribute to the overall health and happiness of our older adults.
We invite all seniors within Roanoke City to join us for an unforgettable evening of nostalgia, laughter, and celebration and make this first event a night to remember!
