The Roanoke NAACP Youth Council is proud to introduce its newly elected 2026–2027 Executive Team, a dynamic group of young leaders dedicated to creating positive change throughout the Roanoke Valley.
As the Youth Council continues its mission of empowering young people, promoting civic engagement, advocating for social justice, and strengthening our community, this year’s executive team is ready to lead with passion, purpose, and determination.
The 2026–2027 Executive Team represents the next generation of changemakers committed to amplifying youth voices, fostering leadership opportunities, and addressing issues that matter most to young people in our community. Through service projects, educational programs, voter engagement initiatives, juvenile justice reform, and community partnerships—just to name a few—the team aims to make a lasting impact across Roanoke.
“We are excited about the opportunities ahead and the difference we can make together,” said the Youth Council leadership. “Our goal is to inspire, serve, and create meaningful change while building a stronger and more inclusive future for everyone.”
The Roanoke NAACP Youth Council looks forward to an exciting year filled with growth, advocacy, service, and community engagement. With fresh ideas and a shared commitment to excellence, the new executive team is prepared to tackle challenges, celebrate achievements, and continue the legacy of youth leadership within the NAACP.
Community members, families, educators, and local leaders are encouraged to support the Youth Council’s efforts throughout the coming year as these young leaders work to strengthen our community and create opportunities for future generations.
