The Mildred Ann Rose Johnson Scholarship Fund awarded three Roanoke City students with scholarships. The event took place Saturday, June 4, at Outback Steakhouse on Franklin Road.
Monica Hackett will be attending Howard University or Spellman College majoring in Biology, and Quentin Long will be attending University of Virginal majoring in Bioengineering, and Lucy Travers will be attending Virginia Tech majoring in Civil Engineering.
The family of Mildred “Corine” Johnson is very appreciative of all support given by the Roanoke Valley and especially to Outback Steakhouse for hosting the event.
