Breast Cancer touches us all. It’s a journey we take together.

Come join in for an evening of inspiration on 5:30 pm Thursday, Sept. 27, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, located at Jefferson Street and Elm Ave. as we celebrate and support the Sisters in our lives with information and resources to live healthier lives.

The event seeks to raise awareness of Women’s Health Issues, Breast Health, the need for screening/early detection through Mammography, self and clinical screening. With this year Sisters’ Night Out theme: “I Have Cancer But…,” The evening will include exhibitors, refreshments, door prizes, cancer survivors and much, much more. Presenters for the evening include Dr. Karanita Ojomo, radiation oncologist with Blue Ridge Cancer Care, and Shanna Flowers, manager of Volunteer Services Carilion Clinic, and author of The Beauty of the But…and other musings of God’s goodness.

The “Beauty of the But”… shows the relevance of the Word in our personal journey and how we can support our sisters.

Come join these two energetic and spirited Sisters as they Advocate, Educate, and Support you in your journey towards Holistic Health. Wear your pink and encourage the sister in your life to attend.

Mistress of Ceremonies for the event is, Kianna Marshall, host of Living Local (WFXR). There is no charge to attend the event; however, you will need to register for a ticket at Eventbrite.com. Seating is limited and registration for tickets closes on Monday, Sept. 24.
