A Teen Summit will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21 with registration 9-10:00 a.m., at the Countryside Sportsplex. There will be an opening session, networking and panel discussions.
Following a closer look at what is happening within the community among the teen population, a group of professionals who work with children and families has decided to address some of the issues our teens are faced with by conducting a Teen Summit, “To Be Real.”
The summit will offer teens the opportunity to discuss and hear facts that will give them information to help make good decisions. The group that includes 5 teens working on the summit planning committee, has been meeting for several months and members are very excited about the things planned including 100 slots available for teen participation!
Haley Toyota is sponsoring the event along with several private donors. Participating teens will leave the summit with a plan they develop for immediate action and future planning for their lives!
The free event will include door prizes, entertainment and lunch.
