What is the difference between people who are convinced and people who have been deceived? None, if they have been well deceived. (Nietzsche)
Black Proxy Racists are descendants of America’s Slave Class who have adopted the beliefs and attitudes of our people’s historic antagonists, thereby enslaving their own minds, spirits and intellects; and who now define and treat themselves and their people as dictated by America’s and their people’s worst Domestic Enemies. This definition is valid for members of the other formerly oppressed groups as well, namely the First /Indigenous people, women, and the Poor. From Mark-6, Socrates, Whitman, Angelou, DuBois, Welsing, Malcom X, Feuerbach, A. Huxley, Orwell, and Baldwin.
The probability of changing the voting patterns of Black Proxy Racists is less than the probability of changing the voting patterns of white registered Republicans who are advocates for a democratic nation. However, I am NOT saying that all or even most Black Republicans or “Conservative” Blacks are Proxy Racists. Far from it!
Try as they might, it is exceedingly difficult for actual Proxy Racists to block information that threatens to breach the walls they have built to protect themselves from Truth about our people’s and America’s real enemies, especially after January 6, 2021. Hypocrisy exacerbated by denial and deep shame is acidic to the mind and spirit. The longer a person has avoided Truth, the more she or he will hate whoever and whatever conveys it.
Conservative philosophy is not synonymous with the dogma embraced by today’s Radical Right Extremists/Fascists/Evangelicals who obviously have adopted the creed espoused by Alexander Stephens, Vice President of the nation – the Confederacy — that declared war on the United States to secure the right to enslave, buy, sell, torture, brutally work, exploit, rape, and lynch Black human beings.
Stephens explicitly rejected the statement in the Declaration of Independence that all human beings are Created Equal, the doctrine fostered by Abraham Lincoln when he joined and shaped the original Republican Party. Stephens stated, in part:
“Our new government (of the Confederate nation) is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner-stone rests, upon the great Truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral Truth.”
Stephen’s pronouncements were exceedingly diabolical because of his heavy use of Biblical scripture to justify the Confederate Nation’s ideology. There is a huge difference between one being Conservative and one linking with the Conservatism endorsed by the cabal that is pushing the nation toward Fascism.
I am Conservative as defined by MLK in 1957 when he spoke about the Six Black Cultural Tenets. That definition encompasses Childrearing, Schooling, Personal Conduct, and Money Management. In other words, I am AN AUTHENTIC CONSERVATIVE, but not A CONSERVATIVE. The latter now connotes attributes that are inimical to the development of a Full Democracy.
An Authentic Conservative, as is valid for an Authentic Liberal, irrespective of party label or race, understands that America will never achieve her moral authority or fulfill her primary governmental responsibility to the people if a substantial proportion of her citizens continue to be trapped in the basement of this nation simply because their ancestors had been enslaved and then oppressed after Emancipation. To restate Darwin in the affirmative: The misery of our poor was not caused by the laws of nature but by our political institutions, so our sin is monumental.
With that understanding, Authentic Liberals and Authentic Conservatives of all ilk will help all of us work in unity to transform our flawed Democracy and eliminate the situations that cause the need for concessions for past repression; if not, they are America’s real tyrannists.
Although in our political system small numbers can be extremely important, such as the 112,000 votes that put Trump into the presidency, America’s nemeses are exaggerating the number of Black Republicans who have also inculcated the principles promulgated by the RRE/Fascist/Evangelical element now driving the GOP, as opposed to those Republicans who still revere the principles cultivated in the Republican party by Lincoln.
Conspicuously crowing about the Black Conservatives they “find” or “poll,” the GOP spokespersons are implying that we have a massive number of Proxy Racists.
I reject any such suggestion. I am convinced that the number of Blacks who are both Republicans and Fascist supporters is small, especially in comparison with the 35 million Black Americans of voting age. The exaggeration is a fear ploy political charlatans have adopted to intimidate, disempower and immobilize oppressed peoples.
This scurrilous ploy will fail if we keep working to increase voter turnout.
