What a busy week since the last publication – but a most pleasant and memorable one.
Our annual ritual is to pack up the car and head off to our Massenutten share time away from the demanding work schedule. It is a time of the year that we all look forward to. With all that is going on in the world, it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Therefore, after getting the latest issue completed, I joined the others on our yearly getaway.
The weekend was delightfully shared with my daughter, Eva, and son-in-law, Demare, granddaughter, Robbynne and her daughter Rhea (my great-granddaughter) and last but not least one of the triplets, Kaitlyn was truly an experience to be ever cherished.
All were kept busy with excursions, dining out, visiting old friends and making new ones until we departed to return to our respective destinations. Other family members came through sporadically and it was great having them there as well.
Being with family in such a lovely setting was a joy in itself. It was a time for both reconnecting and relaxing. The family fellowshipped during meals and enjoyed the peace. It is such an indescribable bounty to be among the lovers of God through who His love touches so many throughout the world. It’s that sort of love that helps one to remain calm in the midst of imminent danger and turmoil.
Such bravery represents the epitome of one of my many favorite Baha’i passages: “O, ye lovers of God! Make firm your steps in His cause in such wise that ye shall not be shaken, though the direst of calamities assail the world! By nothing, under no conditions, be ye perturbed.”
Investigate!
