United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge (UWVBR) kicked off 2026 with a transition that reflects its commitment to efficiency, collaboration and community impact.
UWVBR has moved into a modern, right-sized administrative and operations office at 3800 Electric Road, Suite 406.
The organization hosted an Open House and Ribbon Cutting celebration Tuesday, April 14 at 11 AM to welcome partners, donors, and community members to its new location and share more about the next chapter of regional impact.
The new space strengthens the organization’s ability to work alongside partners across the region and allows more time and resources to be directed toward helping families move toward stability and self-sufficiency.
“This move represents far more than a change of address,” said Abby Hamilton, President and CEO of United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge. “It reflects how we continue to evolve to serve this region. Our new space is aligned with the way we work today — nimble, collaborative, and rooted in the community. It allows us to devote more time and resources to our mission, rather than building maintenance. United Way’s impact has never depended on a building; it happens wherever families and partners need us.”
In a meaningful continuation of service, the Council of Community Services (CCS) — operators of 211 Virginia, the statewide information and referral system — will move into UWVBR’s former building on Campbell Avenue. The transition ensures the space remains dedicated to community support and connection.

This move strengthens our work and keeps the building rooted in service to the community.”
