Twelve-year-old Traevon Jones (right) is candidly caught engrossed in the latest copy of The Roanoke Tribune. The young man was at Two Penny’s Salon waiting to get his hair cut and was accompanied by his grandmother (left) who proudly said, “he reads all of the time.” The avid young reader, equipped with both encouragement and a healthy thirst for knowledge, is undoubtedly headed for a bright future and is off to a great start.
