With Virginia election being over, the true political identity still not found

The Virginia election ended with an unsurprising victory for the Democratic Party as it showed a U-Turn by the voters to a new direction after 4 years of the Republican control of Governor and LT. Governor in Richmond. However, regardless of the inaccuracy of poll predictions that can be a thunderbolt for the public as it occurred in the Presidential Election of 2024, between former Vice President Kamala Harris and President-then Candidate, Donald Trump, but in most cases, the polls predictions can reveal the hidden outcome of the elections.

It is noteworthy that President Trump’s victory in the 2024 Presidential Election was against all the odds that proved the poll and the political analysts wrong as they predicted victory for former Vice President Harris.

This year, the accuracy of the poll predictions in Virginia’s elections were definitely seen on election night as the voters handed the victory to the Democratic Party. Although the defeat of the Republicans in Virginia is not the end as the Party can always return, but in fact, with Virginia being a Blue State, it is a major challenge for Republicans as it has been in the past.

Seemingly, principles and characters are not the requirements for the candidates. Obviously, for the politicians, character does not matter anymore to run for offices and become public servants. The political battle between the Democratic and Republican Party has created divisions and to a certain degree blinded the public from evaluating the elected officials based on their principles and characters.

For example, the Democratic elected Attorney General, Jay Jones, was surrounded by the 2022 text messages scandal as he wrote that he wanted to put two bullets in the former Republican State House speaker, Todd Gilbert’s head, “Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.” Jones said.

The Democratic Party did not condemn Jones, and in fact, his fellow Politicians endorsed him. However, Jones defeated the current Virginia Republican Attorney General, Jason Miyares in the Virginia election to become the Virginia’s next Attorney General.

It is a critical situation in today’s America as the violent speech, hate language, and threat are normalized among the politicians and the elected officials, which influence the public to adopt such hostile mentality and behavior. In fact, such behaviors and mindsets are not limited to one political party; it is, sadly, a mutual hate and violence against each other.

In 2024, the Republican-then Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina, Mark Robinson, at a Church said, “ Some folks need killing.” As he referred to American Socialists. And obviously, President Trump’s continuous harsh speeches often exacerbate the public situation.

Apparently, American politics is lacking in tolerance.

Furthermore about the Virginia Election

Some major news media joyfully announced the winning of Virginia’s Democrat first female governor Abigail Spanberger as she defeated Republican LT. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears. But as being the first Black female, LT. Governor Winsome Sears has not been receiving full attention from the main media or the majority White Politicians. While the Democratic Party has completely undermined Winsome Sears, the Republicans did not provide her firm support, which is obvious in the fund raising.

According to the Virginia Public Access Project report, as of October 23, Spanberger has raised $65 million during the campaign. Sears raised $35 million.

However, between Democrats and Republicans, Blacks and minorities seek to find their political identities, but to find such identities they must serve the illegitimate political goals and deny the truth. The more Blacks and minorities are embracing liberalism and conservatism in America, the more are becoming divided.

Once, Malcolm X said, “The white conservatives aren’t friends of the Negro either, but they at least don’t try to hide it. They are like wolves… But the white liberals are foxes, who also show their teeth… but pretend that they are smiling. The white liberals are more dangerous than the conservatives; …”

Apparently, LT. Governor Winsome Sears has lost her political identity as neither the conservatives completely boosted her campaign for a successful outcome nor the liberals regarded her intelligence and persistence as a courageous Black woman.
