The Roanoke Branch NAACP is looking for creative, talented, competitive high school students to represent the branch at the 2016 National ACT-SO Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio, July 14-17.  Interested parents and youth are encouraged to attend the Parent information meeting 7:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at High St. Baptist Church, 2302 Florida Ave. N.W.

Last year, 5 local winners went to the competition in Philadelphia, PA.  Spread the word to your talented church members or friends and to everyone you know. More of Roanoke’s talented youth need to show up and learn more about ACT-SO!

Please contact Gloria Randolph-King at 540-793-0811 or Anita Price at 540-529-4452.

Brenda Hale is the Roanoke NAACP Branch president.
