Please join in for a special night celebrating Sisterhood of the 6th Annual Sisters’ Night Out (SNO) on Thursday, Sept. 29, at St John’s Episcopal Church at Jefferson St. and Elm Ave. in downtown Roanoke. The vendor and exhibitor portion of the event begins at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments; the program begins at 6:30 p.m. with the theme “Sisters’ Night Out is Courage-Strength-Choice.”
This year’s mission and focus is on breast cancer awareness and how we can be proactive with early detection. You will also receive information on how preventive health care can play a role in decreasing your risk of getting cancer.
The keynote speaker for the event is Afira DeVries, president and CEO of the United Way of Roanoke Valley. Other featured speakers include Dr. Karanita Ojomo, Radiation Oncologist at US Oncology/Blue Ridge Cancer Care, Andre Douglas, Family Nurse Practitioner at Lewis Gale Physicians; Takiyah (Tee) Barlow, Certified Group Fitness Instructor; Breast cancer survivors and more.
