Caregiver Support Ministry hosts Seminar

The Shiloh Baptist Church Caregiver Support Ministry will present a “Caregiver Seminar” at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. Guests serving for the occasion will be Deacon Ricardo Stovall, retired from an extensive nursing career in home health, hospital nursing and hospice care; and Ms. Monica Cabbler, a former USA Track and Field star, Corporate Wellness Spokesperson, and Philanthropist.

Deacon Stovall will share caregiver information from a professional standpoint as well as from his personal experience as a primary caregiver for family members. He attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, and graduated from Control Date Institute, Los Angeles, CA and Carilion School of Practical Nursing in Roanoke.

Monica Cabbler

Monica Cabbler has served as a caregiver and patient advocate for loved ones.

As a wellness expert and fitness personality, she inspires families to lead active lifestyles. Her message empowers audiences to take a stand for their health. She is also an Ambassador for the American Heart Association promoting healthy living and disease prevention.

Ms. Cabbler is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she made university history being voted as the first Black Homecoming Queen at UGA.

Rev. Adrian E. Dowell is pastor of the host church located at 201 S. Market St. in Salem. All are welcome come out and “get prepared to care.”
