Stafford, VA – The winning tradition of Champ’s Gym continues as Jamarion “Chucky” Henderson claimed the 2025 Virginia Silver Gloves State Championship this past weekend in Stafford, delivering two outstanding performances in the Junior 138-pound weight class.
On Saturday, November 8, Henderson stepped into the ring for his first bout against Elijah Chandler of Gladiator Boxing Club. Chandler opened the fight with heavy pressure and aggression, forcing Henderson to adjust early. But once Chandler “tasted the power of Henderson,” the momentum shifted. Showing poise beyond his years, Henderson gained full control and ended the match with a third-round stoppage, earning his place in the championship bout.
Returning to the ring on Sunday, November 9, Henderson faced Logan McNeil of Alexandria Boxing Club for the Junior state title. The final was a three-round war, with both fighters exchanging powerful shots and demonstrating remarkable skill. Henderson’s superior timing, conditioning, and determination earned him a split-decision victory – and the title of 2025 Virginia Silver Gloves Junior 138-pound Champion.
With this victory, Henderson now advances to the Regional Silver Gloves Championship in Jacksonville, North Carolina, scheduled for January 2026.
