Dr. Jessaca Charite, a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, is committed to providing children throughout the Roanoke Valley with positive oral healthcare experiences.

On April 11, she officially opened her new practice, Positiviteeth Pediatric Dentistry at 65 Shenandoah Avenue, Suite 100, in Daleville. As the founder and owner, Charite brings to the role more than a decade of professional experience and several years of work in public health.

“My approach to care blends compassion, education and fun as I help young patients feel confident and proud of their healthy smiles,” she said.

Leading up to the ribbon cutting, music grooved in the background, children took advantage of the outdoor attractions and local leaders welcomed Charite and her team to the community.

It was fitting that when Charite achieved this milestone, several family members and long-time friends were there to share the experience with her.

Rhonda Fuller, a retired Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Field Operations Division employee, said of her daughter, “From diapers to doctor, I can’t put into words just how proud I am. My baby is a true Cali girl. She had full scholarship offers from Duke, Cornell, Emory and Columbia. After graduating as a salutatorian from Brown University, she ended up doing her residency at Yale. It took a village to get here, but we did it, together.”

“Our journey has felt like two parallel paths guided by the same compass. We started as girls sharing a classroom in Mariette, Georgia, and life carried us in different directions – Boston, Missouri, Charlottesville, Roanoke – but somehow always in alignment with who we are becoming,” childhood friend and host of

About Your Art Podcast Show Zakiya McLeod said.

She continued, “Jessaca has always had a heart of service, and seeing her build something so impactful for children and families feels incredibly full circle. It’s been beautiful to witness her not just succeed, but to become exactly who she was always meant to be.”

Also there to experience the moment was Tina Lowe, a member of the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce. “In just 90 days, Dr. Jessaca and her team have brought something truly amazing to this area, and we are excited to see the impact it has. They are the first pediatric dentistry in Daleville, and we are so grateful that they chose to invest here.”

Positiviteeth offers services in prevention care, restoration care, emergency dentistry, infant care, special needs dentistry and sedation dentistry.

Beyond providing a service to the community, Charite wants to inspire the next generation. “I want to be an example to others – to all the little kids throughout the Roanoke Valley. Your zip code does not determine your worth. I want them to know that dreams do come true with hard work.”
