A Community Achievement Awards reception will be held in Fitzpatrick Hall of the Jefferson Center on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7:00 p.m. At this time the Urban Professional League (UPL), in partnership with the Harrison Museum of African American Culture, will acknowledge young professionals who have exhibited qualities of excellence and success in the areas of education, business and community service.
Ashley Reynolds-Marshall has been selected as this year’s recipient of the C.C. Williams Award for outstanding accomplishments in the area of Community Service. Her selection to receive this coveted award was based upon her contribution and tireless effort as the program manager for Bank on Roanoke Valley, which is under the auspices of the United Way of Roanoke Valley.
Mrs. Reynolds-Marshall received her undergraduate degree from Hollins University and also holds a J.D. from the College of William and Mary School of Law, Williamsburg, VA (2007) where she was an articles editor of the William and Mary Journal of Women and the Law. She also holds a Masters in Public Administration and Policy (with honors, 2012). Currently she is continuing her educational pursuits at the Center for Public Administration and Policy in its Ph.D. program. She is an active member of the Beta Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a board member of the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council and a member of the Roanoke Jaycees.
