Women United for Community Action was founded by the visionary Carolyn Patterson in 2011 with a powerful mission to empower Youth in the Community through generous monetary donations and selfless volunteer assistance. The esteemed group consisted of dedicated Educators, Business and Medical Leaders who shared a common goal. The group’s annual fundraiser, a Sunday Fashion Show, was a resounding success, raising vital funds to support the group’s purpose.
The money was presented yearly to a deserving Youth group, fostering a sense of hope and opportunity. On Sunday, February 22nd, the group culminated its years of tireless efforts by presenting a check for $500.00 to the NAACP ACTSO group in the Memory of Gloria Randolph-King, a lasting tribute to the WUCA group’s enduring legacy.
